An exciting opportunity to join the University as a Junior IT Technician within our IT Services department has arisen.

 

The Junior Technician post resides within our IT Operations Team and is a first-line IT support role. You will be working with our IT technician & servicedesk colleagues to provide technical IT support for our staff, students & visitors via email & telephone as well as in-person.

 

It is required to have a good level of technical knowledge regarding PC and Mac hardware/software to be successful in this position, along with an awareness of mobile phone technology, basic networking, Wi-Fi connectivity and audio-visual equipment.

 

As you will be working directly to support our staff & students, strong customer service skills are essential. The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, use your initiative, and work as part of a team are also required to be a success in the role.

 

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for IT and a positive attitude. The role would suit someone at the start of their IT career who has a keen interest in technology with a strong desire to develop their skills and knowledge further.

 

The role is based across all University locations within Cheltenham & Gloucester.
