0.5FTE, 18.5 hours per week

 

An exciting and interesting opportunity has arisen within the Finance and Planning Department at the University of Gloucestershire for an experienced and customer focused finance operations assistant with strong administration skills and financial acumen to add value in a rapidly evolving environment.

 

The post is located within the Income Team which is responsible for the accurate processing of financial refunds to domestic and international customers. Good understanding of sales ledger processes and the following of process/policy is required within this role. 

 

Main responsibility of the role include the processing of customer refunds where customers have not met the eligibility to secure a place on the University programmes. Following prescribed processes and policy to manage internal and external stakeholders to meet KPI’s in the return of funds to customers. Internal and external comms will be necessary to meet objectives of role.    

 

You will be a key member of the team supporting the Financial Operations Team and Manager in the delivery of financial transaction objectives a high quality customer service.  

 

You will be proactive with a commitment to continuous improvement and must be responsive to change.

 

Other responsibilities will include supporting the wider Finance Operations team in the financial administration of payment facilities and supporting the credit control team when required. Sales ledger reconciliation work will also be a requirement of the role.

 

Good IT skills are essential and you must have excellent organisational skills, be able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.

 

Good knowledge and understanding of finance ERP systems (Agresso) would also be beneficial.
