About the department
The role sits within the CFO function which is responsible for driving the University’s commercial, procurement, finance, governance, transformation and project management activities. The Project Management Office (PMO) oversees the University’s strategic projects portfolio and delivery framework and is responsible for change programmes and projects, and enabling a culture of continuous improvement within the University. The team ensures that projects are delivered to time and budget, meet the needs of the University community, and deliver real benefits tothe University.
About the role
This is a great opportunity to make a significant contribution to the PMO and Transformation team within UoG and to start a very rewarding career journey leading to a recognised Associate Project Manager qualification.
The job holder will support and learn from the PMO professionals in the team, working alongside them to deliver a wide range of strategic transformation projects and programmes across the University, through reporting, administrative support, and administration of the PMO’s digital resources, documentation, and project dependencies. You will assist with planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects, and act as the primary point of contact for project support and information requests within the PMO and Transformation team.
You will study for a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship and 20% of your work hours will be dedicated to ‘off the job’ training, including online lessons, seminars and course work and study.
