Description
This is permanent, 0.6 FTE postion and you will be required to be at both Oxstalls and City Campus.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant multifaith Chaplaincy Team as the Chaplaincy lead for the new City Campus in Gloucester, opening in September, as well as contributing to our work at the growing Oxstalls Campus.
The Chaplaincy Team work alongside colleagues in Student Wellbeing, offering a wide variety of activities which build relationships and nurture community, and supporting individual students of all faiths and beliefs on their journey through university. Our Sanctuary spaces are places where students can find a quiet corner, or spend time with others, and where they can meet with a chaplain for one-to-one conversations.
We are looking for someone rooted in the Christian tradition and comfortable working alongside those from other faith traditions. Alongside our wellbeing activities and support for all students and staff, the chaplains also provide opportunities for students to engage with faith through interfaith dialogue and opportunities for prayer and discussion.
The ideal candidate will make positive relationships with students and staff and offer support with sensitivity and skill. We are looking for someone who can take initiatives and bring creative energy to developing this new role. It is an advantage to have had experience of working with young adults.
