This is a 0.2 FTE, 12 month FTC, internal postion
The University of Gloucestershire has a strong track record of high quality research in the area of Sport, Exercise, Leisure and Tourism (UoA24) and a long history of internally excellent research in play and playwork.
About the role
We are looking to employ an experienced and well connected senior research fellow who specializes in researching play. We have an ongoing project in Mapping Play Sufficiency, working with local and national government and organizations. The candidate will need to fit seamlessly into carrying out and continuing this activity. It is expected that the appointed person will produce policy reports, published journal articles, and work to influence policy and practice in areas related to play at a local, regional and national level. The candidate will also be expected to apply for relevant external funding opportunities, contribute to internal research events (including guest lecturing), and supervise postgraduate research students.
