The Role
The International Student Services team are responsible for providing specialist advice and support for all aspects of the international student journey, including application enquires, visa and immigration advice, enrolment and induction support, and ongoing international student advice. The team are also responsible for maintaining the university’s Student visa sponsor licence, including all aspects of CAS issuance, document verification, attendance and engagement monitoring and all UKVI reporting responsibilities.
Currently the university is experiencing a large volume of international applications, and with this there is a need for further resource to help with assessing eligibility for CAS. This post will be primarily tasked with reviewing interview recordings for international students and providing feedback to applicants via our CAS Shield system. The post will also help with responding to queries from international applicants concerning the CAS application process.
What we need
We need someone who is discerning, detail-driven, and able to make clear decisions based on the content of student interviews. You’ll be reviewing a high volume of interview recordings and making consistent Pass or Fail judgments, so a strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused are essential. You should be confident working independently and comfortable handling repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy. Good written communication is important, as you’ll be providing feedback to applicants and responding to queries about the CAS process. While previous experience with international student support or visa processes is an advantage, full training will be provided.
