We take a flexible approach to hybrid working, as a guide you would be expected to work 2 – 3 days a week on campus
The Student Recruitment and Outreach Team is seeking a well organised person with excellent administration skills.
The post holder will work closely with the Student Recruitment and Outreach Officers to provide administrative and organisational support for on and off campus events. This will include managing room bookings, booking student ambassadors, emails and telephone communications with schools and colleges. They will be required to show excellent attention to detail and be solution focused.

About the school or department
You’ll be part of the Marketing and External Engagement Directorate responsible for a range of university-wide activities which includes teams responsible for organising student recruitment activities, managing the external website; design and digital content creation; campaign management and cycle activity; media liaison via the press office; corporate social media; internal comms for students; corporate events; alumni relations; and external stakeholder management.
Our student recruitment function comprises of the following teams: Student Recruitment Events, Schools Liaison and Outreach, Admissions and Applicant Experience. Together these teams work with academic schools to deliver on the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment objectives and to meet our widening participation targets. Data and evidence constantly informs our decisions to ensure that an efficient and effective service is provided to our customers.
About the role
Working within our busy team, you’ll play a critical role in subject and general, schools and college events both off and on campus. You will have previous event administrative experience and a solution focussed approach to your work.
You will have an awareness of the UK higher education sector and the student recruitment cycle and will play a key role in organising excellent student focused activities and events for prospective students.
As part of the team you will have excellent organisational and administration skills to plan, communicate, record and evaluate activities.
You will work with a range of academic schools and professional services teams to ensure our events are of the highest standard and therefore will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, positive and effective working relationships internally and externally.
