The Estates Department

Our mission is to provide a professional, cost-effective estates management service that ensures the University's academic and research endeavours proceed safely and efficiently. We aim to cultivate an environment that instils pride in our community, fostering sustainable learning activities for all. 

 

Responsibilities of the department include managing the estates strategy, property maintenance, property management, facilities management, and health, safety, and environmental oversight.  

 

Senior Facilities and User Experience manager role 

We are now recruiting for an experienced Senior Facilities and User Experience Manager to join our Estates team. Working across our 4 campus you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality facilities management (FM) services across the university and enhance the overall user experience for students, staff, and visitors. You will drive excellence in areas such as cleaning, catering, reception, waste management, and security services, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic objectives and sustainability goals. You will have previous experience of working in facilities management, with the ability to lead and change cultures in a diverse workforce.  

 

Aside from the opportunity, you will also be eligible for 32 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and university closure days), enrolled onto our private pension*, access to Vivup which provide 100 of discount and offer as well on the job training from an experienced leadership team. 

 

*Successful applicants with evidence of current, continuous membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) will be eligible to continue membership of the scheme – further information can be provided throughout the process
