This is a 5 year fixed term post.
We have an exciting opportunity for a member of staff to join the Senior Management Team of the School of Creative Arts as the School Lead for Teaching and Learning. This is a grade 9 post.
This role is central to ensuring we have a relevant and attractive and efficient portfolio of courses as well as continually improving our approach to teaching and learning and to ensure the best outcomes for our diverse student body.
As Teaching and Learning lead, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
- developing and delivering a staff development programme, in relation to learning, teaching and assessment
- Leadership and delivery of key portfolio developments in the School of Creative Arts
- the development of plans and strategies inrelation to key external metrics and measuring the success of our teaching and learning practices, for instance the B3 agenda, TEF.
Working with a range of stakeholders from the Executive Dean for Teaching and Learning, the Head of School, through to ACLs, you will understand and develop an attractive offering that will support the growth of the school. You will be data and target driven to ensure you are constantly reviewing approaches and be able to make sensible business decisions when issues emerge.
Alongside this, you will also be required to support the Deputy Head of School with the operational leadership for the school. This will include working together on continuous improvement of teaching and learning activities and undertakingline management, as well as the day-to-day activities such as chairing MBEs, student appeals and complaints.
This is a great opportunity to help shape and grow the school, and to help the University meet the goals and outcomes laid out in the Strategic Plan and Education strategy.
