Associate Head of School – Outreach and Engagement (10 months fixed term secondment)
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Senior Management Team of the School of Creative Arts as the interim Associate Head of School (Outreach and Engagement). This is offered as a 10-month fixed term secondment.
This role is central to ensuring we are appealing to a wide range of students to encourage them to join the University of Gloucestershire for the next chapter of their academic development, and that we are working as effectively as possible across a wide range of academic and industry partners.
As an Associate Head of School, you will be responsible for three key areas: student recruitment strategy, partnerships, and employer engagement. Working with a range of stakeholders from the Executive Deans and the Head of School through to ACLs, you will understand and develop an attractive offering that will support the growth of your school. You will be data and target driven to ensure you are constantly reviewing how campaigns and approaches are running and be able to make sensible business decisions when issues emerge.
Alongside this, you will also be required to support the Deputy Head of School with the operational leadership for the school, including line management. This post will also include working with the SMT team on continuous improvement of outreach and engagement activities, as well as the day-to-day activities such as chairing MBEs, and dealing with student appeals and complaints.
This is a great opportunity to shape the student outreach and engagement strategies of the school and to contribute to the University’s goals and outcomes as laid out in the Strategic Plan and Education strategy.
