Procurement Assistant

Finance and Commercial

1.0FTE, 37 hours per week.

We are open to discussing with candidates about either a job share opportunities or 0.8FTE or 1FTE opportunities for this role.

 

Fixed term maternity cover contract

 

Located within the Finance and Commercial department, the Commercialand Procurement team are responsible for a range of commercial and procurement activities across the University. With the move to a centralised model, the team are responsible for ensuring best practices are adopted, resulting in high standards of performance, cost effectiveness, and resource efficiency.

 

We are now seeking a customer focused, enthusiastic Procurement and Commercial Administrator to join the team on FTC until the end August 2025.

 

About the role

 

As the Procurement Assistant you will be responsible for working with colleagues across the university and supporting with the end to end process for setting up suppliers, raising requisitions and processing purchase orders. Additionally, you will support the administration of the whole department on procurement, commercial activities, including commercial events.

 

This role requires a high-level of accuracy, with attention to detail, as well as having a flexible approach to your way of working and meeting deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are required.
