Description

INTERNAL APPLICANTS – ONLY

Associate Head of School – Outreach and Engagement

School of Creative Arts

Grade 9

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Senior Management Team of the School of Creative Arts as the Associate Head of School. This role is central to ensuring we are appealing to a wide range of students to encourage them to join the University of Gloucestershire for the next chapter of their academic development, and that we are working as effectively as possible across a wide range of academic and industry partners.

As an Associate Head of School, you will be responsible for three key areas: student recruitment strategy, partnerships, and employer engagement, to ensure your School has a high-quality and visibly excellent offer both for prospective students and existing and prospective partners. You will be responsible for leading on and coordinating a number of activities within the brief.

Working with a range of stakeholders from the Head of School through to ACLs, you will understand and develop an attractive offering that will support the growth of your School. You will be data and target driven to ensure you are constantly reviewing how campaigns and approaches are running and be able to make sensible business decision when issues emerge.

Alongside this, you will also be required to support the Deputy Head of School with the operational leadership for the school. This will include working together on continuous improvement of outreach and engagement activities, as well as the day-to-day activities such as chairing MBEs, student appeals and complaints.

This is a great opportunity to shape the student outreach and engagement strategies, help your school grow and overall help the University meet the goals and outcome laid out in the Strategic Plan and Education strategy.

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the position, please contact Angus Pryor for a conversation

Closing date: 6th October 2024

Interview date: 14th October 2024

To apply, please send a copy of your CV and supporting statement of no more than 750 words clearly how you meet the essential criteria for this role.

The University is committed to building a diverse and inclusive staff community and welcomes applications from currently under-represented sections of our workforce. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, guaranteeing an interview to everyone who meets the definition of disability set out in the Equality Act 2010 and the essential criteria contained within the person specification.
