Tax Accountant 

 

18.5 hours per week

 

Pittville Campus, Cheltenham

 

About the Department

The Finance and Commercial Department is responsible for the provision of a range of financial, planning and reporting services to staff, students and external organisations, and is dedicated to the provision of professional services to support the University planning processes and managing its resources, in a controlled and sustainable manner.

 

About the role

We are now seeing a part time Tax Accountant who will lead on all tax related matters for the university, to include VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax. This role will require you to be the main point of contact for the university and support with matters relating to projects, contracts, and assessing global mobilisation risk for the university working collaboratively with departments whilst raising the profile of Tax across the university.

 

Working closely with the Financial Controller you will support annual tax reporting and reviews as well as taking responsibility for implementing tax policies within the university.

 

This is a varied role, one in which requires knowledge in multiple areas of tax and the ability to research and apply guidance on unfamiliar areas to help stakeholders across the university.
