IT Placement Technician

1 year fixed term contract until July 2025

37 hours per week, 1.0FTE

Based across all University sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester.

 

 

An exciting opportunity to work full-time as an IT Placement Technician (12-month contract) within the University of Gloucestershire’s IT Services department has arisen.

 

The IT Placement Technician post resides within ourIT Operations Team and is a practical role, providing a technical resolution service for any IT query escalated from our Servicedesk team. It is imperative that you have good technical knowledge of PC and Mac hardware/software to be successful in this position, along with a working knowledge of mobile phone technology, basic networking, Wi-Fi connectivity and audio-visual equipment.

 

The successful candidate will be working to support our University staff & students with their IT queries and so strong customer service skills are essential. The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team are also required to be a success in the role. You will need to possess good interpersonal skills, the ability to work using your own initiative as well as a desire and enthusiasm to develop your IT knowledge & skills further.

 

The role is based across all University locations within Cheltenham & Gloucester.
