About the school

The School of Education and Sciences at the University of Gloucestershire is a thriving and exciting environment to work in. The post-holder will primarily be based at both Francis Close Hall Campus in Cheltenham and City Campus in Gloucester, working alongside the Education team. 

 

 

About the role

Contributing to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the post-holder will be an engaging and innovative lecturer who shares our student-centred approach, is ready to offer a high standard of support and is keen to make a positive contribution to the student experience, including graduate outcomes.

 

The focus of this role will be on excellent teaching, with a development strategy for research. Applicants should offer a research portfolio commensurate with career stage and a clear personal plan to develop a programme of research.  

 

Candidates will ideally be able to teach across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Education course portfolio, potentially including: BA (Hons) Education; BA (Hons) Education, Inclusion and Special Educational Needs; BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies; Early Years FdA (HTQ) ;Masters by Research (MRes); MA Education; Education PhD and Doctorate in Education (EdD);  

 

From September 2025, Education will be relocating from its current premises to the City Campus, a new development for the University that will be a focal point of Gloucester City, and a modern centre for teaching learning and community partnerships.

 

 

Start date is 1st August 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
