About the school or department

The School of Education and Sciences at the University of Gloucestershire is a thriving and exciting environment to work in. The School’s vision is based on three key words: Belonging, Transforming and Professional. We are a student-centred institution, and these three words guide our decisions, targets and ambitions for the School. The post-holder will primarily be based at both Francis Close Hall Campus in Cheltenham and City Campus in Gloucester, working alongside the Education team.

About the role

The School provides the University’s English language coordination (including International student support, English Language testing, in-sessional classes and pre-sessional English). The successful candidate for this post will be able to fully support this programme as well as being able to teach across a range of undergraduate and /or postgraduate course provision within the Education subject community. A willingness and ability to contribute to a range of courses in the Education subject community portfolio (relative to expertise) would be desirable.

Applicants should offer a research portfolio commensurate with career stage and trajectory. They should also be able to outline a clear personal plan to develop either a programme of research and/or a programme of scholarly activity.

From September 2025, Education will be relocating from its current premises to the City Campus, a new development for the University that will be a focal point of Gloucester City, and a modern centre for teaching learning and community partnerships.
