Lecturer in Pharmacology

 

0.8 FTE 29.6 hours per week

 

Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Lecturer to joinour School of Health and Social Care. You will need a strong clinical background in relation to Pharmacology and experience of supporting learners in a clinical and/or academic setting.

 

You will need an enthusiasm to embrace change, be keen to work as part of the innovative Health and Social Care team and have an interest in contributing to the growing research profile of Health and Social care. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across the School to deliver the innovative programmes to our future and current health and social care workforce.

 

Our exciting Post Graduate and Under Graduate programmes have been developed to make our student and graduates innovative, evidence based practitioners. Working closely with multiple NHS, Private, Voluntary and Independent sector providers, our graduates will get a broad overview of Mental Health Nursing in Gloucestershire, supported with theory and simulation at our purpose build Health and Social Care facilities based at Oxstalls campus.

 

You will be joining a University where Healthcare and Health promotion are part of our everyday business, be it the extensive and accessible wellbeing and research facilities at the purpose-built Oxstalls campus, the range of scholarships on offer for students, or the huge array of social and sports clubs available to our students. Located in the heart of Gloucester, Oxstalls is just 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre, Gloucester quays and Kingsholm rugby stadium Oxstalls is a high-energy campus, where our Health and Social Care students learn alongside other health and social care professions, with the opportunity to train in innovative teaching and clinical spaces.

The School of Health+ will be relocating from its current premises onOxstalls Campus to the City Campus, a new development for the University that will be a focal point of Gloucester City, and a modern centre for teaching learning and community partnerships.
