You will be joining a university where Health and Social Care and Health promotion are part of our everyday business, be it the extensive and accessible wellbeing and research facilities at the purpose-built Oxstalls campus, the range of scholarships on offer for students, or the huge array of social and sports clubs available to our students. Oxstalls is a high-energy campus, where our social work students learn alongside other health and social care professions, with the opportunity to train in innovative teaching and clinical spaces.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Social Work and Social Care team, university placement team, and our various local partners to ensure the curriculum reflects contemporary practice and policy, and ensure best practice is reflected in the student’s education, with a focus on supporting Social Work apprenticeship students through their programme and completing associated individual learner reviews and direct observations.

This role offers the opportunity to use a coaching approach to supporting students and supervisors in practice and contribute to the development of new and existing placement areas. You will work closely with the Academic Subject Leaders, strategic placement lead, placement coordinators and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for social work education in Gloucestershire.

The School of Health+ will be relocating from its current premises on Oxstalls Campus to the City Campus, a new development for the University that will be a focal point of Gloucester City, and a modern centre for teaching learning and community partnerships.
