Head of Research
Park Campus
1.0FTE, 37 hours per week
We are on a journey to transform the University into one that builds on its nurturing and inclusive ethos, giving our students the best possible experience as they transition into and travel through the University and ensure they are best equipped for what lies beyond. As part of this journey, we have taken time to review and redesign our leadership team to ensure we have a simple, streamlined and consistent approach that keeps students at the heart of everything we do. We are now seeking a Head of Research to join the senior leadership team.
This is a key post for the University, reporting directly to the Deputy-Vice-Chancellor and Provost, and applications are sought from those who are keen to make a difference, supporting the creation of knowledge, and leading on the continued development of our research income generation and the career prospects of our PGR students.
As Head of Research, you will provide leadership for the continuing development of and support for a vibrant and focused research culture at UoG, for planning and developing a successful REF submission that will result in positive outcomes, and an increase in grant capture and high-quality outputs. You will also lead on the development of a refreshed Research Strategy. UoG is at an exciting time in its research development, and seeks an academic leader with vision and energy.
The successful candidate may be offered a Professorial title, subject to qualifications.
