0.5 FTE 18.5 hours per week
Grade 7 £37,099 - £41,732 pro rata per annum

In line with the University’s strategic goals, this post provides an opportunity to work alongside the Interior Design Academic Lead, the teaching team and the Head of School in creating a vibrant and inclusive subject community for staff and students. The community reflects best teaching and learning practice, is well connected externally and has cogent plans for progressing the ambitions of UoG’s Academic Strategy.
The post provides an opportunity for contributing both to impactful scholarship/research (as appropriate), and to a dynamic, future-focused curriculum. A commitment to ongoing staff development is a formal expectation of the post.
The Design course group currently comprises undergraduate courses in Creative Advertising, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design and a postgraduate MDes in Graphic Design. We are seeking an academic and teaching practitioner who can develop and contribute to the delivery of design theory across year stages and module contexts.
The Interior Design Pathway at the University of Gloucestershire seeks to establish itself as the UK’s premier HE provider of sustainable Interior Design. The pathway is highly innovative and seeks to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of a career within this dynamic, global sector. We aim to support all our students in acquiring the necessary creative design skills,contextual knowledge and technological applications together with an aptitude for agility and enterprise which increasingly underpin career opportunities across the interior design and related sectors.
You will have at least a Masters’ level in Interior Design or a relevant academic discipline and be trained to practice as an Interior Designer with a recognised qualification or with equivalent sector experience.
