MA studentships in English Literature
MA Studentships in English Literature at the
University Of Gloucestershire (Cheltenham) Starting 1 February 2022
The
University of Gloucestershire is offering up to TWO MA studentships in English.
The studentships cover 100% of
full-time fees for one year of study. In subsequent years candidates
will have to pay full fees. The MA by Research starts in February 2022. The MA subjects will be based within the following
three topics:
•
crime fiction and intersectionality
•
crime fiction and race
•
crime fiction and the environment
You
will be studying under the supervision of Dr Charlotte Beyer who is author of
the monograph Murder in a Few Words: Gender, Genre and Location in the Crime
Short Story (McFarland, 2020) and a range of crime fiction publications. Dr
Beyer is an experienced postgraduate supervisor who has supervised PhDs and MAs
to completion.
The
studentship is an exciting opportunity to undertake an original research
project with a vibrant and productive research team. The successful applicants
will be based at the University of Gloucestershire’s Francis Close Hall Campus, here you’ll be part of a stimulating research student environment and a
vibrant outward-looking Research Priority Area, Culture, Continuity and
Transformation.
Applicants
must have a BA (Hons) in English, English Literature, or Creative Writing degrees
(at least 2:1 standard or equivalent) with an interest in crime fiction being
an advantage.
