GROWS is a consortium of higher education providers within Gloucestershire, led by the University of Gloucestershire. GROWS deliver the Office for Students (OfS) Uni Connect Programme locally in Gloucestershire. The project is funded by OfS for an initial period to July 2022, with further funding indicated for an additional 3 years.
The project has a remit to work with schools and colleges in specific geographical areas to provide a range of interventions to ensure young people and adult learners are well informed about their educational options and to encourage aspiration to higher education level study.
The Graduate Ambassador will help the team to deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and experiences to a range of secondary aged pupils, adult learners and parents. As well as delivering sessions the role holder will also assist in planning and organising a range of events and activities along with general administrative support.
We are looking for a recent graduate (2021 or 2020) who has some experience of delivering information to young people in an engaging way.
This role would suit someone who is an enthusiastic presenter, who can problem solve and think on their feet, can engage teenage audiences and has an interest in the widening participation agenda. You’ll need great IT skills especially using MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
You’ll join a supportive but busy team where you can gain valuable experiences in a structured training plan.
Closing date: Sunday 15th August 2021
