Description
With the support of Home Start, the University of Gloucestershire is offering a MSc studentship in Psychology, to cover the full payment of tuition fees for three years.
The first project be looking at the impact of the expansion of Home-Start’s early intervention across the county of Gloucestershire. It will entail interviewing users and others involved with Home Start in the region, gathering qualitative data. You will also have access to a large repository of data, collected from users and volunteers of Home Start in the region which will need cleaning and analysing.
Time allowing, you will then look to expand the research into an area of your choosing, informed by the results of the previous studies. Areas of research will include looking at the effectiveness of Home-Start support in a specific area such as work with dads, perinatal mental health, infant mental health, and/or peer support.
Applicants must have a BSc Hons of at least 2.1 standard or equivalent, eligibility for GBC or equivalent demonstration of skills in Research Methods is essential.
