Description
Human Resources Business Partner
Grade 7 £33,797 - £38,017
The University of
Gloucestershire is constantly improving and developing, now achieving student
satisfaction levels in the upper quartile of performance for all universities,
as well as growth in our student numbers.
We are committed to continuing to improve our learning environments,
evidenced by our new Business School, investment in IT capabilities and
particularly digital learning environments, as well as the development of our
site with the recent purchase of a substantial building in Gloucester city
centre.
The HR Service has
a central role to play at the University in facilitating and supporting
managers in leading their teams and effectively managing organisational
change. We have an opportunity for an
experienced HR professional to join our HR Business Partner team to work with a
selection of schools and departments to achieve their ambitions for growth and
development, and to ensure a great student experience. You would also be involved in some
interesting cross-University change projects.
You will be CIPD qualified
and experienced in supporting managers to respond constructively to a broad
range of employment issues. You will be
outcomes focussed, and able to establish effective working relationships with
staff at all levels of the University, and with our recognised trade unions.
You will be comfortable with handling multiple cases in a complex
environment and able to coach managers to develop their people management skills.
You will have a sound working
knowledge of current employment law and be able to apply this through good
influencing skills, as well as a creative and solution-focused approach. You will need to be intellectually agile and
curious, as well as able to keep focused on achieving core priorities.
Based
in central Cheltenham, you will work across all our sites in Gloucester and
Cheltenham, and we do operate in a flexible and agile way to include home working
as well as on campus working. This is one of the UK’s most desirable areas to
live and work and in addition we can offer an attractive annual holiday
entitlement of 37 days and a competitive pension scheme.
To apply please submit your CV via the online recruitment portal.
Interview Date: week commencing 12th July 2021
The University understands
the benefits of recruiting a diverse range of people and welcomes applications
from under-represented sections of the community.
We are proud to be a Disability
Confident Leader, guaranteeing to offer an interview to anyone who meets the
definition of disability set out in the Equality Act 2010 and who meets all of
the essential criteria contained within the person specification
