The
University of Gloucestershire is looking to appoint Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer
in Accounting and Finance within the Gloucestershire Business School. You
will focus on leading delivery of modules in finance to non-finance learners, broadly
defined, and will offer generalist knowledge in Accounting and Finance, with
expertise in one or more of the following subject areas:

Financial Tools for Business

Accounting for Finance and Decision Makers
·
Accounting and Finance Management in Business
·
Business Decision Making
·
Managing Finance
·
Strategic Financial Management
We have achieved an
excellent reputation in the design and delivery of apprenticeship programmes
across all our subject groups and have ambitions to develop this further. We
have developed an international reputation for our applied research, and we are
a leading business school for the quality of our teaching provision - in the
2021 NSS, our overall student satisfaction for this area was in the top
quartile in the country. Within this post you will provide a major contribution
to the teaching, research, and development of pedagogy and curriculum for our
programmes.
The Gloucestershire Business
School boasts a £20m purpose-built building, which is also home to the Growth
Hub, to the Department of Business Engagement (University in Business)
and to our growing Business and Law Advice Clinic. This cohabitation with the
business community gives our staff and students the opportunity to interact
seamlessly, and on a regular basis, working on real life projects that help
foster the growth of our students, businesses, and the whole region’s economy.
The building, which was officially
opened in 2019, offers state of the art facilities, including a Trading Room, a
mock courtroom, large and small teaching rooms with cutting edge technology,
collaborative learning spaces and a café.
Our courses cover areas from
accounting, finance, law, strategy, enterprise, leadership, management, marketing,
events, hospitality, and tourism management. The School has a growing research
profile with an impressive track record in winning research bids.
