Fixed term post until 31st March 2023

37 hours per week, 1.0FTE

In April 2020 we started a new Phase of the Start and Grow Enterprise Project, following a successful bid to the European Regional Development Fund allowing us to continue the programme for a further 3 years.  Within this extension we have expanded the support we are able to offer to early start SMEs, in particular to those with high growth potential. In order to support and drive this new, we are now looking to appoint to our Business Start Up and Co-ordinator role.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for pre-start business applicants wishing to join the programme, including assessing their eligibility and business needs. They will be expected to manage enquiries and co-ordinate the journey for Clients. As the name suggests, this role will have a special focus on working closely with academics and students to build on the good relations the programme has established with the Business School, and also, to look for new initiatives that will increase integration within the University. The role will involve ensuring match funding targets are met, and liaising with the Project Administrator who will be responsible for collecting and recording data accurately in line with the funding requirements. The post will take responsibility for procurement and administering the Enterprise Voucher scheme and will also involve some work with pre-start 1:1 Client meetings

If you are passionate about supporting new business growth in Gloucestershire and have direct experience of working in a funded environment then this could be the role for you.

Closing Date: 19th February 2021

Interview Date: 1st March 2021

The University understands the benefits of recruiting a diverse range of people and welcomes applications from under-represented sections of the community.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, guaranteeing to offer an interview to anyone who meets the definition of disability set out in the Equality Act 2010 and who meets all of the essential criteria contained within the person specification.
