Description

This exciting Coach in Practice post will provide the opportunity for the right person to work in an expanding Social Work and Social Care team at the University of Gloucestershire. If you are passionate and confident in your ability to transfer knowledge to pre-registration students in both a practice and classroom setting, then this is the role for you. The successful applicant will work closely with the Social Work and Social Care team, University placement team, and our various local partners to ensure the curriculum reflects contemporary practice and policy, and ensure best practice is reflected in the student’s education.

 

This role offers the opportunity to use a coaching approach to supporting students and supervisors in practice and contribute to the development of new and existing placement areas. You will work closely with the Academic Subject Leaders, strategic placement lead, placement coordinators and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for social work education in Gloucestershire. There is a requirement that the successful candidate will be a registered social workers and hold a formal teaching qualification or be willing to work towards the University’s Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.
