This post is for graduates of the University of Gloucestershire
BA/MA Fine Art course only.
Fixed term until 04 June 2021
21 hours per week, 26 weeks term time
only post.
The Assistant Technician’s role is
primarily to assist & support students in the fine art studios and
workshops, working with the Technical Services team in their running of Fine
Art facilities and teaching sessions in the School of Arts. The post holder
will support extended workshop access hours into the evening.
The post holder will have a high commitment to customer service as well
as a flexible and multi-skilled approach. Team working and the provision of
customer-focused services in a practice based environment are important aspects
of the role. The post holder is also required to be flexible in his/her
approach to duties. Training in the use of specialist equipment will be
provided if necessary, but the successful post holder will work in their
specialist subject area and be required to have the broad range of skills and
knowledge relevant to supporting practitioners in the Art subject area.
