37 hours per week. Based at Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester
The University of Gloucestershire’s estate is changing rapidly as a consequence of major investment and development. In addition to new buildings the University is keen to develop effective methods of working to maximise the utilisation of the estate. The estates department has the responsibility for managing the estates strategy, property maintenance, property management, facilities management and health, safety and environmental management. The purpose of this post is to maintain university building assets and to respond to planned and reactive building work requests. Typically, this will include scheduled work requests that require skilled small scale general building repairs.
You will be required undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance work across all university buildings. You will have experience of providing skilled general maintenance service that will require knowledge and understanding of works such as building construction, its maintenance, repair and replacement; and knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in the built environment. With major investment there has never been a more exciting time to work within the Estates team.
Whilst this post is for a generalist maintenance operative, applications from those with electrical experience and qualification would be welcomed.
