Description
Due to the expansion of our provision, an
exciting opportunity has arisen to join our nursing team. We are
particularly looking for applicants who are having existing teaching experience
and digital literacy and experience with e-learning.
Can you be creative innovative and use IT and
communication skills to support student learning?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to
join our rapidly growing academic team as we move into our fourth year of
nursing provision. You
will have significant clinical experience as an adult nurse and have experience
of teaching and assessment in a clinical or higher education setting. You will
demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to work
collaboratively with students/apprentices, employers, the teaching team and our
support and technical staff. You will also be responsible for developing
learning material that is relevant, evidence based and current, in order to
maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the
University.
You will need an enthusiasm to embrace change, work as
part of the innovative nursing team and have the ability to contribute to the growing
research profile of the subject area is essential.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growing
portfolio of nursing programmes, supporting the module leadership role and implementation
of the future nurse standards. This also offers an exciting opportunity for you
to be involved in moving the School forward with its strategic plan to deliver
a sustainable nursing workforce for Gloucestershire in collaboration with our
partners.
You must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
You will be passionate about making a difference for people in our care. Keen to support nurses of the future to care for themselves in order to care for others and committed to contributing to a team vision of creating a ‘Culture of Care’ in nursing for service users, students and colleagues.
You will work closely with the Academic Subject Leader, Academic Course Leaders, Strategic Lead for Partnerships and Placements and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for nurse education in Gloucestershire.
