Description
The School of Natural and Social Sciences at University of Gloucestershire is looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Criminology.
The School comprises three Subject Communities—Social Sciences, Psychological Sciences, and Environmental Sciences—with over 1000 students and 50 academic, technician and administrative staff. Our Social Sciences provision is experiencing year-on-year growth and we are investing in its expansion.
The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of key areas in our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Criminology and cognate courses. They will be an engaging and innovative lecturer, able to demonstrate commitment to our student-centred ethos.
They will have demonstrable, recent experience of academic leadership and will be expected to take on responsibility for important aspects of the subject community’s work which could include duties such as course leadership, engaging with external stakeholders to create opportunities for community enhanced learning, or student employability.
Applicants will also be expected to contribute to research and income generation. For REF2021 the Social Sciences subject community is submitting to UoA21 Sociology.
