Senior Lecturer in Social Work, with the role of Academic Course Leader

1.0 FTE 

Based at Francis Close Hall Campus 

(Please note, post will be based on Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester from September 2020)

 

The School of Health and Social Care is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic academic staff for the above post to further develop and deliver flexible, and innovative teaching reflecting current practice on the qualifying Social Work Apprenticeship programme. You will need a strong practice background and evidence of working with students ideally as a Practice Educator and experience of enabling the learning and development of others within an academic setting.

This offers an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in moving the School forward with its strategic plan to deliver a sustainable Social Work workforce for the region in collaboration with our employer partners.

As a member of the Social Work team you will work closely with the Academic Subject Leader and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for Social Work in the University of Gloucestershire.

An enthusiasm to embrace change, work as part of the innovative social work team and become involved in the growing research profile of the school is essential.

Key requirements

Relevant Social Work Qualification (Degree/DipSw/CQSW)

Registered as a social worker with Social Work England

Demonstrable extensive practice knowledge in adult, learning disabilities or mental health would be an advantage
