Senior Lecturer in Education (ACL in Post Graduate Certification in Academic Practice and for Academic Professional Apprenticeship
0.6FTE (22.2 hours per week) - permanent
The School of Education and Humanities is seeking to recruit a passionate and experienced member of staff to provide a transformational learning experience for students undertaking postgraduate study in higher education.
There are two elements to this role: firstly, the leadership of two course groups, the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and the Higher Apprenticeship Academic Professional; secondly, the leadership of the internal HEA Fellowship Scheme. Both elements of the role involve working closely with students, colleagues and stakeholders within and beyond the University, including the Academic Development Unit (ADU) and Advance HE.
As an academic course leader, you will lead and champion two course groups, providing academic direction within the context of the Academic Strategy and the specific priorities of the School and Academic Subject Community.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the theory and practice of teaching, supporting learning and assessment in higher education. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to engage and lead students and colleagues.
