Student Voice Manager

We are looking for a Student Voice Manager to lead our representation department. The role exists to ensure that the Students’ Union operates as a democratic organisation and that the student voice is heard. You’ll be expected to manage, review and promote the Student Representation structure and develop robust mechanisms for gaining student feedback in order to fulfil the Students’ Union’s key objective of effective representation.

Events and Venue Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Events and Venue Manager to lead, market and manage the SU entertainment programme throughout the year – both on and off campus. Key events include Freshers’ Fortnight, Varsity and Student Award Ceremonies. As well as managing the bar and bar staff, the postholder will plan and deliver a diverse range of safe and high quality events for our student members to ensure they have a rich experience whilst they study here. We are looking for a great planner, a team player and someone with experience in events and/or bar management/supervision.

Commercial Services Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic new staff team member to help us generate income for the SU through commercial channels. This includes ticket sales, affiliate deals, merchandise sales, NUS TOTUM card sales and SU trips. The postholder will also develop new commercial activities for the SU in line with our charitable aims and will line manage the student staff receptionists. The postholder will take responsibility for sourcing and supplying good quality and relevant products and services in a democratic and busy educational setting. This is a great role for someone who has experience in the retail sector and is looking to develop management skills.
