Description
The School of Sport & Exercise seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy (Grade 8) to join the thriving Academic Subject Community of Applied Sport & Exercise Sciences. The School boasts above sector average scores for the National Student Survey and Sports Therapy is a highly popular programme at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. With strong professional network connections Sports Therapy students are able to apply their learning in a range of professional sport contexts and clinical environments. Our staff take great pride in ensuring our Sports Therapy students are equipped with the necessary competencies set by The Society of Sports Therapists. In addition, the community staff are research active showing a strong portfolio of 3 and 4star research for the up and coming REF2021 exercise. The successful candidate will assume the role of Academic Course Leader demonstrating effective leadership skills to manage the undergraduate programme, facilitate curriculum development and contribute to enhancing the employability of our students. The individual should be highly motivated and a collaborator to ensure successful working practices with fellow colleagues.
