Description
The Library, Technology and Information (LTI) Service are
seeking to recruit a Senior Systems Developer (Data Systems) to oversee, lead
and manage the data warehouse solution, ensuring that developments are in line
with the relevant University’s technology strategies and policies to deliver a
reliable service to the customer.
They will be an adaptable and proactive individual, with responsibilities that include monitoring and resolving data issues and ensuring sound interfaces between our systems
Working as part of a team that work to Agile principles, this role will involve working with key stakeholders from within the LTI Service and from across the business, such as planning and reporting teams.
They will keep up to date with latest technologies and regulations such as GDPR and Accessibility and as such must have knowledge of APIs and integration methodologies.
The work will be varied; you will work on a multitude of
different projects and have the opportunity to work with external agencies such
as JISC on areas such as Learning Analytics.
Key Skills:
Data Warehousing – You will be responsible for the data warehouse infrastructure and have experience of data modelling and data architecture development.
SQL Server - Experience and evidence of MS SQL Server; SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS)
Communication – You will need to demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly with both technical specialists and non-technical business leads
Team Player -The ADS team supports and develops several core business systems such as student systems, learning and teaching systems and ERP systems. You will be working with system developers in these disciplines to ensure seamless integrations.
