The Outreach, Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team works closely with prospective students, teachers, advisers and parents in highlighting higher education (HE) as a progression route.  A range of activities and events are delivered to raise awareness of and aspiration to HE, as well as activities to highlight the University of Gloucestershire as a potential choice institution.

 

We are looking to recruit three enthusiastic and creative Outreach and Student Recruitment Officers to join our busy team, to assist in meeting our widening participation and recruitment targets.  These will be subject specific posts to support our academic schools as follows:

 

·                 ·     Media, Business and Computing

·                 ·     Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences and Health and Social Care

·                 ·     Sport and Education

 

We are looking for someone that is able to create, organise and deliver stimulating and informative sessions to a variety of school age ranges and other potential applicants. Previous experience of organising and delivering residential activity is desirable. The post holder should be motivated, enthusiastic about higher education, with the ability to draw on their own experiences and be flexible to work across the wider department and regular out of office hours. 

 

The post holder will be required to work in a team and independently but also be expected to lead student ambassadors. Excellent organisation and event management skills are essential and frequent travel to partners and other institutions regionally and nationally is required.
