Description
The University of Gloucestershire is continuously investing in the development of its IT systems to ensure a great student experience and efficient operations,. We are looking to recruit a Senior System Developer to work with our student administration systems, particularly Tribal’s SITS. These systems are critical to supporting the students through the progression at the University, as well as ensuring the staff at the University can easily see how the students can be best supported. This provides significant scope for innovation in the way the important processes students have to follow, are made as intuitive as possible, as well as presenting data and information in an engaging and accessible way.
You would be part of a team of System Application Developers
who are recognised internally as instrumental in supporting the transformation
plans of the University. This role
offers a really good opportunity to further develop your system application
skills in a supportive environment, working alongside a great team of committed
individuals. The job provides a good
next step to really practice and hone your skills in application development
and agile methodologies, focusing on system and process integration. You will have scope to explore new boundaries
of what is possible and to innovate, to enable us to spot opportunities to
extend and improve our offer to students and to staff. You will also have the ability to grow
experience in coordinating the activities of other system developers.
You will have experience of developing Students systems such
as Tribal (SITS), as well as knowledge of and experience in a range of
application development methods. A track record in delivering application
developments to time is important, as is experience of working with commercial
software developers and providers.
The University offers a competitive benefits package, with access to a career average pension scheme, 40 days holiday, flexible working arrangements, staff discount, access to further education and library facilities.
